Becoming a member of Owenkillew Credit Union Ltd.
Membership of Owenkillew Credit Union is open to anyone who lives in the Owenkillew area. To become a member it is necessary to complete a membership application form, which can be obtained at the Credit Union office or downloaded from the above links. The new member enters his/her own details and signs the form, and is required to be proposed and seconded by 2 members of Owenkillew Credit Union. (If you do not know 2 members, ask a member of staff about an alternative). Bring the form to the office and when an entrance fee of 15 pence is paid, the new member may then open the account, putting a minimum of £20.00 into savings to begin. The law prohibits the credit union from opening an account for a new member unless satisfactory proof of identity and appropriate address verification documants are produced. (See list below)
To establish identity (must include photograph)- CURRENT DRIVING LICENCE OR VALID PASSPORT
- CURRENT WORKS/BUS PASS
- STUDENT CARD
- ELECTORAL CARD
For address verification (must be dated within the last three months and the following are ONLY acceptable) - UTILITY BILL (Electricity bill, Landline phone bill, TV Licence bill, Rates bill, Tenancy agreement, Housing benefit award letter, HMRC letter)
- BANK/BUILDING SOCIETY STATEMENT
